K.P.C. Energy Metering Solutions Ltd. (KPC EMS) is looking for a DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS for our growing business who would be responsible for supporting new business development and providing technical and operational leadership to enable best-in-class service delivery for multiple utility clients. 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You would lead project delivery staff, while also managing the overall professional relationship with customers. The ideal candidate will be an articulate, highly regarded industry veteran with a deep technical background that enables them to be a key technical resource for our clients and a strong leader in managing an experienced technical workforce.                           

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of senior-level leadership experience with an electric utility, with a demonstrated, established network of contacts and key relationships within the regional utilities and utility leadership representatives.

10+ years of progressive project leadership experience within the gas or electric utility sector is preferred. Stronger candidates will have 15-20 years of progressive utility leadership experience. with knowledge of distribution utility metering systems and governance.

Candidates with executive leadership experience in utility third-party service providers will also be considered.

Experienced in establishing and managing relationships with senior utilities stakeholders.

Possess strong sales and client relationship development experience.

Must be able to coordinate work scope with multiple internal & external work groups or contractors.

Experience administering and managing a portfolio of large dollar projects, as well as hiring and assembling the management resources to perform the work.

Successful applicants will also be able to demonstrate business acumen and communicate effectively across multiple levels, both internally and externally.

Deep knowledge of OHS and utility safety policies and practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Provide and execute strategic plans to enhance the corporation's service offering, quality control, and efficiency.

Strengthen the safety culture of team members working closely with H&S.   Prioritize and continually improve the company’s health and safety performance.

Manage the performance and provide yearly evaluations.

Contribute to long-term strategic direction and priorities of KPC EMS in collaboration with management, and the executive team.

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in a technical discipline, or equivalent knowledge and/or experience in the electrical distribution industry

Specialized training courses in a related field

Management/Supervisory professional development courses

Project Management experience is an asset
